Desertification

Desertification is the term given to the process whereby fertile land turns into desert. Usually this occurs as a result of causes such as deforestation, badly managed agriculture and drought.

Humans have increasingly caused desertification to occur throughout the globe with millions of square kilometres of land being deemed as degraded every year.

Desertification occurs in the China, India, other parts of Asia, sub Saharan Africa, the United States, South America, Europe and Australia.

It truly is a global problem, costing billions in revenue annually and expecting to create food crops to be less and less productive into the future.
